PURA UV20 Series
Ultraviolet Systems

The PURA UV20™ Series is designed to provide disinfected water at a flow rate of 8-10 gallons per minute. This system is ideal for whole house water treatment. In addition to disinfection, the double and triple models provide filtration for the removal of sediment and chemical contaminants. 

This ultraviolet water treatment system makes a perfect companion to water softeners, distillers, reverse osmosis and ozone systems. This is available with an optional lamp out circuit (LOC). In the event of a lamp or power failure this circuit can control a solenoid valve and/or an audible alarm. The UV20 series has proven to be PURA's most popular product line and has created an industry standard in whole house disinfection. All PURA UV20 sales are final. Manufacturer warranty applies.

Sunlight has long since been known to kill micro-organisms. The rays from the Sun contain the UV Spectrum used in Ultraviolet Water Treatment Systems--although at much lower intensities. It is also referred to as either the Germicidal Spectrum or Frequency. The frequency used in killing micro-organisms is 254 nanometers (nm). The UV lamps that the Pura UV20 series uses are designed specifically to have the highest amount of UV energy at this frequency. Pentek/Ametek EPM Series cartridges are a modified version of the "EP Series" cartridge. This cartridge is suitable for taste, odor, chlorine taste & odor as well as sediment filtration.
EPM Series cartridges are manufactured using a patented process that yeilds a cartridge with a nominal 10-micron filtration rating, high porosity and chlorine taste & odor reduction. The high porosity design helps prevent the cartridge from plugging before its adsorption capability is exhausted, maximizing the utilization of the carbon while maintaining low pressure drop.
