Purtrex depth filters are an exceptional value for applications where long life, high purity and low change-out frequency are required. Produced through GE's patented melt blown microfiber technology, Purtrex is a 100% pure polypropylene depth filter with exceptional dirt holding capacity.

Purtrex' true graded density filter matrix (lower density at the surface of the filter with progressively higher density toward the center) captures particles throughout the entire filter depth. This translated to longer life and fewer change-outs than existing string wound or resin-bonded filters. Purtrex filters meet the requirements of the FDA for food and beverage contact. 40 per case. Discontinued item. We recommend you upgrade to a TFC membrane which will give you better performance. The GE/Osmonics 18 Gallon Per Day Membrane #1220188 is the recommended replacement. If your system uses a sediment prefilter, you will need to replace the sediment filter with a carbon prefilter.
